Our US-based team is ready to develop products that drive your business forward.
What we can do for you:
Moodboards
The first step in our industrial design process focuses on creating a moodboard for the product. A moodboard typically consists of images that capture aesthetics, features, textures and ideas that define the ethos of the product. The moodboard becomes a point of reference for the larger industrial design effort.
Concept Sketches
Hand sketching is still the most effective way to produce a multitude of concepts quickly. In a typical industrial design project, our team often produces dozens of hand sketches to explore product configurations and specific detailed features.
2D and 3D Visualization
When more detail is required, 2D and 3D visualizations are created using a combination of 3D CAD and rendering tools. These higher fidelity outputs demonstrate much more detail than concept sketches. When appropriate, photo-real renderings can be created for advertising, crowd-soured funding, and investor pitches. We use Rhino and Keyshot for rendering. Virtual Reality visualizations are a useful tool for physically large products as well.
Human Factors Design
Most of the products that our industrial designers work on will ultimately be handled by humans. By understanding human capabilities, limitations, and biomechanics, we can design products that are likely to be ergonomic and easy to use for the target demographic.
User Interface & User Experience
Good products require careful UI and UX consideration. UI and UX are related to eachother but are distinct. UI focuses on the actual interface between product and user. UX focuses on the overall experience a person has when using the product. Gettin gboth right is part of good industrial design.
CMF: Color, Material, Finish
Our industrial designers keep themselves informed of new trends in materials and manufacturing. As part of the product development process, they recommend not only the shape of a product, but also the colors, materials, and finish or texture. They balance aesthetic goals with manufacturing realities to define CMF that works for users and for your business.
