A team built to build products.
Our team is made up of unique people that make products real. Technical expertise is only part of the formula. The ability to lead the companies that hire us through challenging projects and difficult decisions is the real magic. We aren't just a group of engineers with our heads down grinding through CAD and calculations. We are development experts with very unique experience that is extremely hard to find.
More than theory.
Our team members are hands-on. We build prototypes in-house, and sometimes even execute initial production / assembly in-house for the products we design. Most of us have manufacturing backgrounds. So we know what the production implications of design decisions are, and wek now how they will impact product profitability.
A passion for development.
Our purpose is to Develop Hardware That Endures. The entire team is excited to work on product development projects, design machines, develop novel embedded systems, and produce products that make an impact for our clients. It's what makes us tick.
Collaboration matters.
Our work must have a positive business impact for our clients. This means that our clients are deeply engaged in the development process. Business goals, busines constraints, internal market knowledge, competitive pressures are all critical inputs to the deveopment effort - and come from the clients. When you hire us, expect weekly sessions to talk about trade-offs, progress, and pivots.
Non-linear development.
In a turnkey product development effort, discovery should be embraced. Prototype iterations should be driven by disciplined testing, user assumptions should be challenged, and pivots should be welcomed. We will help you see the risk in your assumptions, and define the development path to validate or invalidate them. There is always a path, and it is often different than what you think. We're here for it.
Linear development.
When the product is well defined, constraints are validated, the user is understood, and use-cases are proven, a linear, engineering centric approach works well. In these cases, we will review your product spec, PRD, or other guiding documentation, and we will produce a cost-efficient plan to execute. We aren't afraid to work in a heavily constrained environment. We use this approach for our DoD related work.
