What we can do for you:
Testing and Documentation
The product engineering team at SGW has vast experience in design of experiments, testing execution, and documentation. We regularly devise and execute testing for durability, specific functionality, and even pre-test for regulatory compliance. With careful planning, we maximize the value of testing with high quality data, and subsequent analysis.
Compliance Strategy
Nearly all electronics products will need some sort of regulatory testing. Specific product features as well as countries in which he product will be sold determine what testing will be required, and what the compliance costs will be. Our team will help yo umake the best decision about which regulotry complaince to prioritize, and when.
3rd Party Lab Management
For final regulatory testing, accredited third party lasting labs are required. We have ongoing working relationships with multiple third part labs and academic institutions. We know which questions to ask, and when to ask them. Our engineers will often manage third party testing on behalf of clients, even travelling to the labs with the product to witness testing in person.
FCC
FCC compliance is required on just about any electronics product sold in the US. We understand which FCC standards apply, what to test for, how much it will cost, and what maty go wrong. We can even design specific elements in to your product that maximize the likelihood of passing FCC testing without a re-design. We typcially pre-scan or pre-test pfoducts, allowing us to be confident that a product will pass final testing.
CE
Products sold in the EU (and many other markets) typically require CE marking. With numerous products developed here carrying the CE mark, our engineering team can help you navigate the standards, understand how to engage a notified body, and will help you put together your declaration of conformity (DOC).
UL
UL testing is required for a multitude of products across many markets. Our team has managed UL testing for products ranging from building products to IT equipment. This includes flammability testing, electrical safety, and more.
MIL-STD
It is typical for products intended for military use to be tested to Military Standards (MIL-STD). MIL-STD testing requirements are very specific, and cover a wide range of conditions from EMP resistance to liquid immersion. With multiple MIL-STD 810 products on the market, our team is comfortable design products to standard, and planning for MIL-STD testing.
